To find out what camera is right for you we put the EOS 5D iv VS. Canon EOS R. They are both cutting edge DSLR and Mirroless cameras but what should you get. Of course there is no easy answer as what Canon Camera you should buy is dependant on how you intend to use it. The EOS 5D iv has advantages that The EOS R does not ins the same way that Mirroless fills in some of the ergonomic that he DSLR EOS 5D does not. We swapped cameras for a day to see what made these cameras so different. In short the DSLR is better for moving, Sports, and anything you need the camera to be quick and retain a view finder image. The EOS R stands out as a great one man show perfect for youtube because of its ease of use. The EOS R comes with a touch screen and so does the EOS 5D Mark 4 as but the EOS R has a retractile screen allowing you to film yourself and take images at more steep angles. The EOS R has Exposure Simulation that allows you to take fewer photos before nailing exposure. But the EOS 5d Mark iv has a view finder that shows you exactly what is on the other side of the lens virtually all the time. Both these Canon Cameras have the same size sensor and I noticed little difference between the two while shooting with the EOS 5D iv. Only the 5D 4 is equipped with dual card slots this is a must for event and wedding photographers. They both have their ups and there downs. It is up to you to decide which fits your need best.
