Special Operations Forces from NATO Allies North Macedonia and Romania practised integrating with conventional forces during US-led Exercise Combined Resolve XV, held in Germany. SOF operators from the North Macedonia Special Operations Battalion, nicknamed the “Wolves”, worked with their Allied counterparts from the Romanian Army’s 51st Special Operations Battalion and US Army Special Forces to support conventional units from different Allied and partner nations. UK troops from 5 RIFLES-led NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Estonia jump into icy water as part of the cold weather operator’s course in Estonia. This training ensures that they can operate in adverse weather conditions and enables them to be prepared should they fall through the ice in training or on operations.
