Two BluBox membrane bioreactors were delivered to Spruce Pine, NC in November to replace wastewater treatment capacity lost because of Tropical Storm Helene. The ready-to-go units were ordered from Texas and will serve the town of 2,200 people and the surrounding area while the town replaces portions of their sewage treatment plant that was washed away when the North Toe River breached its banks and destroyed part of the municipal plant located on the banks of the river.
