The threat of misinformation and fake news for political processes, public health and our collective social fabric is well known, though less emphasis has been given to potential disruptions from misinformation for the business sector. This talk will highlight the processes by which people come to encounter and believe misinformation, its potential impacts on consumer attitudes and behaviors, and the need for industries and entrepreneurs to anticipate and prepare for these challenges now and into the future.
