♦️ What is a Soiled Note?

✅ Spoiled by ink or oil
♦️ Notes which have become excessively soiled, brittle or are burnt cannot withstand normal handling can be exchanged only at Issue Office of the RBI.
♦️Notes on which religious or political slogans are written cease to be legal tender and are not exchangeable.
♦️ What is a Mutilated Note?
✅ When a portion is missing or has more than 1 pieces
👉🏻 You can file an online complaint if a bank refuses to exchange mutilated currency notes and action will be taken against the bank concerned along with a penalty to be paid up to Rs 10,000 in accordance with the RBI's bank notes exchange policy.
♦️ If the note has only one part then payment will be made on pro rata basis
