As the designated home team the Bucs got to pick which Jersey to wear for the Super Bowl, against the Chiefs. They went with white tops and pewter pants. The Chiefs will be wearing their red jerseys.

But there's an interesting pattern when it comes to Super Bowl Jerseys.

In Super Bowl history, the team wearing white jerseys is 34-20.
and -- in the last 16 Super Bowls teams wearing white jerseys are 12-4.
That streak began when Tom Brady and the Patriots defeated the Eagles in the 2005 Super Bowl in Jacksonville.
Brady went 5-1 with the Patriots' white jerseys in Super Bowl competition.
He was 1-2 wearing New England's blue jerseys.
It'll be the first time Tampa Bay will wear their white jerseys in the Super Bowl.

The Buccaneers wore red when they defeated the Raiders 48-21 in the '03 Super Bowl ... which was our Bucs' only other Super Bowl appearance.
