I recently upgraded to a T5 Transmission to go with my factory 289, but the cable clutch melted because I put it too close to the headers (they warned me about this).
In this video, I go through the steps to remove the clutch cable and install a new hydraulic system which includes the Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder for the clutch actuation. The slave cylinder mounts to the side of the bellhousing, removing the need to take the transmission out of the car.
Both components were purchased from Modern Driveline (MDL)
Hydraulic Clutch Master Kit with 0.700 bore = MD-910-0002
Hydraulic Slave Cylinder for T5, external mounting = MD-910-1002
The car is a 1966 Mustang Coupe with a factory V8 and T5 transmission.
