Hi guys so today”s video is a very interesting one , as everyone is rushing towards dropshipping from overseas suppliers such as aliexpress and chinabrands.
And the newest trends is dropshipping from 1688.
I personally have not dropship from 1688 before and for this video I try to put my hand on it , and this is how I feel about dropshipping from Taobao and sell on your Shopee store.
For those that do not know this , we can actually dropship from 1688 sellers.
When you go to 1688 , you will see this options here which it says 一件代发 .if you do not understand chinese wording , just clik on the options that written this Chinese words.
After you pick a products , over here it will says 代发 , when you convert into English it will says on behalf of.
So , how does this things works is that , you take this products photo ,and upload to your shopee store.
Copy all the title and descriptions and paste it onto your shopee store. Make sure you set as preorder on your shopee store , as it typically will only be able to reach your customer door steps within 30 days , so 20 some 15 .
Once you received an order from your store , you then need to buy from 1688 with Alipay or a third party payment .
Normally the suppliers will sent out the products on the day itself upon payment.they will then ship the products a warehouse , and from the warehouse either you have a third party agent to help you to ship the product from the warehouse or they can find an agent for you to ship it out .
So, everytime when you have an order this will be the process.
When I look at the whole process , I feel so stress , in a sense that to earn that few ringgit , we have to go through so much of process.
And the biggest problem apart from long shipping duration , is what if we have refund and return ?
Are you going to the products back to china and ask for a return ? Most probably you wont , as the shipping fees to sent back the products to china may cost more than the product itself.
And if the supplier agree to give a new one , it probably need to take another 15-20 days to reach your customers place .
I do know there are some service where they will handle this whole process , one of them already contacted me , I have not try it yet . Well if their services can settle all this problem , then I will say it is a workable business modal in the long run .
For now , I will say it will cause more harm then good to direct dropship from 1688.
