How to reach Pondicherry/ Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India.

If you are coming by air, catch a metro till CMBT from the Chennai Airport (The metro station is connected to the Chennai Port).
From CMBT bus terminal, take a bus to Pondicherry.

For Auroville, you need to get of at the Auroville bus stop, which comes 6-8 kms before reaching Pondicherry. To reach the Visitor's center from Auroville bus stop, take an auto (available at the bus stop itself). You can rent a cycle or bike from Visitor's center to roam around the city and explore local attractions. (You need to deposit a valid ID proof against the bike, and dont forget to negotiate the rent prices).
