First of all let me tell you, today we have come to Taunsa Barrage.

Taunsa Barrage is a barrage on the Indus River in Taunsa Tehsil, Dera Ghazi Khan District, Punjab Province. In Pakistan, it is 20 km (12 miles) southeast of Taunsa Sharif and 16 km (9.9 miles) from Kot Addu.

The flow of water in the Indus River has been controlled from this barrage for irrigation and flood control purposes.

Taunsa Barrage was designed on March 22, 1996 at Ramsar Site. The barrage diverts 2.4 million acres (951,400 hectares) of land from the Indus River to the Chenab River through the Taunsa Punjab Link Canal (TP Link Canal). The barrage also crosses arterial road bridges, railway bridges, and for gas and oil pipelines, telephone lines and additional high voltage (EHV) transmission lines.

Taunsa Barrage was completed in 1958. Head Draftsman Syed Tufail Hussain Shah received the Silver Medal from Pakistan Field President Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan.

People in the area take their cattle across the barrage to graze, where there is grass.

Hotels and parks have available for tourists. Due to the beauty of this barrage, people come here from far flung areas,enjoy and eat special fish. Here is the best dish Masla fish.

The water is flowing with its power and noise. I am very happy to see the flow of water. The weather is also good today. When the sun shines on the water, the river begins to offer a beautiful view. The sound of flowing water like singing. Canals are also flowing from this barrage. This scale is used to measure the water level.

As you can see ,this is a sunflower field. It is right next to the river. We can benefit a lot from sunflowers. Oil is also made from sunflower. I hope you enjoyed today's volg, good bye
