Allergy section of the CPT manual is being discussed. Various percutaneous, intradermal tests and patches are applied to determine the allergic status of the patients. A battery of tests is also done which contain various antigens or the allergens that tend to cause allergic or hypersensitive reaction. When a patient develops a flare and wheal reaction, an allergic response is noted by which we can determine the cause of allergen. The appropriate units are reported based on the number of such antigens tested.
