The most popular tour package of Sikkim in India is Gangtok to Nathula border, Changu (Tsomgo) Lake and Baba Mandir Trip. Nathu La is a mountain pass in the Himalayas at an altitude of 14,140 ft at the India-China border connecting Sikkim of India with China. Nathu-La pass is a part of the ancient Silk Road. The distance between Gangtok and Nathula is 54 kms. Only Indian citizens after having a permit from Gangtok are allowed to travel at Nathu-La. You must carry 2 copies of coloured picture and a copy of the poto-identity card to get the permission. Your driver or the hotel manager can arrange the permit. Changu Lake or Tsomgo Lake is a two-hour drive from Gangtok on the Gangtok-Nathu La highway and Baba Mandir which is 14 kilometers away from Tsomgo Lake.
