On February 12th, 2023 we departed Jakarta, Indonesia for our motorbike trip across Sumatra. Our goal was to reach the "0 KM" marker at the northern tip of the island, which is recognized as the start of Indonesia. We ended up completing the trip on November 14th, 2023 after spending more than 200 days on the road and taking two breaks.

We extensively explored seven of Sumatra's provinces and visited five smaller exterior islands. Our route including ferries totaled over 5,000 km, but our motorbike odometers read more than double that number.

This video not only documents our journey, but also tells the stories of the places we visited and people we met along the way. We hope you enjoy.
