The 41-year-old jockey is "determined to rebuild his reputation" after receiving a six month ban from France's racing authority after testing positive for cocaine.
The three-times British champion jockey, 41, tested positive following a routine examination at Longchamp on Sept 16.
Dettori's suspension, from French racing authority France Galop, runs from Nov 20 to May 19 and is likely to be reciprocated by racing jurisdictions worldwide, including by the British Horseracing Authority.
In a statement released shortly after the hearing, Dettori said: "I fully accept those findings.
"I have been stupid and would like to apologise to all those I have let down including my friends and the many supporters I have been lucky enough to have in racing both fans and professionals.
"In particular I have let down my wife and children and it is for their sake that I am determined to rebuild my career and my reputation in the coming years.
