This is the video announcement for first christian church in union, mo. The announcer is my beautiful wife Trisha Hall.
Good morning everyone! Are you surviving this cold winter days? If you needed to get warm, just remember we've got a coffee and snack bar in our lobby so make sure you drop by. This morning we've got a couple of things we want you to know about. So let's get started...
At First Christian we believe in one main thing, leading people to live in a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the hope of the world, and we'll do our best not only to make His name known but to navigate through His journey together. And is there any better time than the Christmas Season? is there any better time than now?
Actually one of the many ways we worship around here is by giving our tites and offerings, our servers are gonna begin passing the offering bags and as they do that know that you are giving back to a God that has generously blessed each and everyone of us. This act literally help us carry out His mission in our community. So thanks for being a faithful steward.
Did you know that by picking up just one ornament of the giving wreath, you are helping to give Christmas to someone in need here in Franklin County? This is a huge opportunity for us to extend ourselves into the lives of those who surrounds us. It's not just a toy or a present, it's demonstrating our life in love to our neighbors. So we wanted to thank you for helping out, there's still few ornaments left so if you haven't grab one yet make sure to check them out as you're leaving. We really need your help, just grab an ornament off the wreath and purchase the item. You can then bring them back to the church either wrapped or unwrapped and we'll do the rest. You have until next Sunday, December 11th to turn in your gift items. So what do you say? Can we make that writhe bared nonempty?
Alright, Christmas is only 21 days away, can you believe it? How many of you have all done your Christmas shopping already? Yea, you make the rest of us sick. In the last 28 years, we have only had Christmas on Sunday 4 times, we'll make that 5 times this year. That's right Christmas is on a Sunday this year and we're excited to worship with you on that special day. Now because that Christmas is on a Sunday, we've decided to change things up a bit. So here's what you need to know, we'll be having three identical services during Christmas eve, one at 5:30 and one at 7:00 and one one Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. So make sure to make the appropriate plans to worship with us. And don't forget the times, also
just a reminder, there will be no children's program in during these services. We want to encourage you to worship together as a family.
The birth of Jesus is something we celebrate, it's an event that change history. God actually began telling the story of Jesus to Adam and Eve. Yah, way back then. The story is that big. Today we'll join Pastor David as we look back at the first promise God made to us about the coming of His Son. Now I invite you to continue worship with us.
