🇷🇺🇪🇬Russian-Egyptian Naval Exercise in Black Sea: Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate ALEXANDRIA F911, Gowind-class corvette EL FATEH 971, Ambassador MK III (Ezzat class) fast missile craft M. FAHMY 686 transited Istanbul this morning, 15/11/2020 0640Z, for a joint exercise with the 🇷🇺Russian Navy from November 17 to 24.

The ALEXANDRIA F911 (x-MUBARAK F911 until 2011) was built in 1980 at 🇺🇸Todd Pacific Shipyards Los Angeles as 🇺🇸USS COPELAND FFG-25, transferred to 🇪🇬Egyptian Navy in 1996.

Gowind 2500 type corvette EL FATEH 971 was designed by 🇫🇷 @NavalGroup , built in 2015 at 🇫🇷Lorient Naval shipyard and delivered to 🇪🇬Egypt in September 2017

Fast Missile Craft M. FAHMY 686, built in Halter Marine shipyard in Mississippi🇺🇸, delivered to 🇪🇬Egypt in 2015, is one of the four Ambassador MK III (Ezzat Class) Fast Missile Craft of the Egyptian Navy. This is the first time that Egyptian Navy sends warships to Black Sea for an exercise with Russian Naval forces.
