Divi Little Bay in Little Bay on the Dutch island of Sint Maarten in the Caribbean, is a resort hotel built with Nudura ICFs. The project consisted of three connected, 4-story buildings providing 98 high-end rooms. Each room, including rooms on the ground floor, have direct ocean views. The Divi Resort remained open throughout construction of this addition, which was done on a sloped and narrow site. The design used ICFs for all exterior walls and all demising walls between the rooms for energy efficiency and sound attenuation. The buildings also have concrete composite floors and roofs. The developers increased the return on their investment by adding solar panels to the roof, to offset the cost of electricity which is 3 to 4 times higher than in the US. The Divi Little Bay Resort is the first significant ICF project to be built on the island of St. Maarten, so there has been a lot of interest in this project from other developers on the island. The developers are also planning two 8-story ICF hotel room additions in Aruba in 2024.
