The Sabu Disc is an archaeological object from ancient Egypt ( 1st Dynasty , circa 3000–2800 BC), found in 1936 in mastaba S3111 of the northern necropolis of Saqqara , the tomb of an ancient Egyptian official named Sabu (or Sebu) . Until now, the function and meaning of this carefully crafted natural stone vessel remain unknown.
It is kept in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo , room 43, under inventory number JE 71295.
