Ghanshyam Nayak wanted to die with his make up on.The veteran Gujarati theatre actor, who was popularly known as Nattu kaka of Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah in a conversation with Mr. Abhilash Ghoda from Gujarati Films Award Organiser had said, "I want to die with my makeup on. " This was said by him after he had returned from shooting one episode of the show from Daman during his illness. The actor, who was undergoing chemotherapy at that time, told his friend over phone: "God has been kind to me. The episode has turned out well and has been appreciated. When Mr. Ghoda contacted him the second time to enquire about his health, he shared that he was struggling to gulp down food, and is taking Ayurveda medicines. As per sources, the late actor's son applied makeup on his face while he was breathing his last.
