This webinar reviewed some of the recent research and published guidance, it looked at the risk factors posed to new housing from climate change and how these can be mitigated, and in the same instance give building engineers the tools to consider embodied carbon within the project’s foundations. The webinar looked at how working with nature can make a difference - biodiversity net gain (BNG) will from November 2023 need to be considered in developments in order to make sure the habitat for wildlife is in a better state than it was before, although this is only applicable in England for the time being, the principals translate to building better communities throughout the UK.
