The 2026 Kia EV3 is new from the road up and rides on Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It also uses revised battery chemistry — the energy density per cell has increased by 22% compared to the current Niro EV, which increases the driving range, and it can be charged in a faster fashion.
When it arrives in Canada, this city-friendly front-drive crossover will have a choice of two batteries — the larger battery promises a driving range of up to 605 km. Further out, the EV3 lineup will be bolstered by the addition of all-wheel-drive versions of the EV3 GT-Line and top-spec EV3 GT. Inside, the newbie is more or less EV9 with the same 30-inches of free-standing screen taking pride of place.
