How to fix the error “Channel not found in installation skipping load routine” while opening Lumion
We face many problems while using Lumion and various errors have their own solution. Some of my YouTube subscribers from mad about construction channel dropped me a message on my Instagram. that they are facing errors like;
“StringOperator.dll” error followed by “Channel not found in installation skipping load routine” then it shows the code through message window like “F26BB4OB-B196-4AB9-B59E-FA7C8FF436F9” and then it shows the path “In Group: C:\Program Files\Lumion 11.0\ArchitectEdition\OO Loader.cgr” – Click here for the solution of such error.
Note: – In this error, the .dll file name could be different for all the users. So, if you see the different .dll file name instead of StringOperator.dll, the solution for that error can still be the same as shown below. For example, System_Command.dll, Win32_SetWindowText.dll, XMLDOMObject.dll, ZipCompression.dll, PanoCommand.dll etc.

When you open Lumion, you can face the error message “StringOperator.dll” error. If you click on ok, it will give another message “Channel not found in installation skipping load routine”. If you click on ok, it shows the code through a message window like “F26BB4OB-B196-4AB9-B59E-FA7C8FF436F9”, and again, if you click on ok, then it will show the path “In Group: C:\Program Files\Lumion 11.0\ArchitectEdition\OO Loader.cgr”.
Cause of error:
Your computer’s protections like windows security, windows defender or 3rd party antivirus can cause this error. When you run the Lumion program, your windows defender or antivirus identifies some files as a threat to your computer and add that file to the quarantined list. Once your computer protection adds it to the quarantined list, it does not allow your computer to access that file. In this case, we can fix this problem by below one of two methods;
Solution: For Windows 10 without 3rd Party Antivirus
1) Close Lumion program.
a) It may not allow you to close and in that case you press Alt + Ctrl+ Delete shortcut key. If you are using windows 10, you can use right click on task bar.
b) Select Task Manager from the list.
c) Select Lumion from the program list and hit the button End task.
2) Restore the quarantined file from the protection of your windows 10 and to do so;
a) Open settings on your computer.
b) Go to update and security.
c) Click on Windows Security tab on left hand side of your screen and go to Virus and threat protection.
d) Click on Protection history option under the Current threats.
e) Click on Filters and choose Quarantined Items.
f) Find Lumion related quarantined file from the list, click on arrow to expand the description, click on action button and click on Restore. For corect identification, you have to check the descrption thorougly. Mostly you can identify based on path shown in the Affected Items. It will show the folder of Lumion. For example; Affected Items: file: C:\Program Files\Lumion 11.0\Channels\StringOperators.dll. Note: – It can be any .dll file name in the place of StingOperators.
3) After you restore the file as asked in above step – 02, add the whole Channels folder in the Allow list and to do so;
a) Open settings on your computer.
b) Go to update and security.
c) Click on Windows Security tab on left hand side of your screen and go to Virus and threat protection setting.
d) Click on Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings option.
e) Click on Add or remove exclusions under Exclusions option.
f) Click on + Add and exclusion and select Folder option from the list.
g) Click on Local disk C → Program Files → Lumion 11.0 → Channels and click on Select Folder.
h) You will see the folder will appear in Exclusion list with the path C:\Program Files\Lumion11.0\Channels. This path can be a bit different if your operating system is in other Local disk or you are using other version of Lumion.
i) This will fix your error for the any .dll error while opening Lumion. If this does not solve your problem even if you are using windows 10 without 3rd Party antivirus you can contact me on my Instagram.
