A full playthrough of Swordquest: FireWorld.
This is an Atari 2600 title from 1983. You play a hero trying to find ten clues, hidden somewhere in FireWorld. Like the first game, EarthWorld, you need to find several items scattered about the various rooms, and put those items in other rooms. If you put the correct items in the correct rooms you get a clue. Also, like the first game, some items have other uses and effects.
When you've found all the clues that's it, there's no ending, but you can carry on exploring FireWorld afterwards. Some rooms require you to complete arcade mini-games, though there are certain items that make those easier.
The clues were supposed to be used with an included comic to find a sentence, like in EarthWorld, but they didn't put the clues in properly, and they ended up being the easily guessable (and useless) 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. Unlike EarthWorld, you don't need to find all the clues at once and can find them in any order, which means you can reset the game between each one. The longer you play, the harder the mini-games get, so the ultimate FireWorld challenge is to find them all in one go without resetting, which is what I'll be doing here.
This my first successful attempt at getting all the clues in one sweep. I had to abandon some previous attempts as there's a bug that makes some items disappear and some of the mini-games get impossible if you don't get certain clues early. For that reason, I won't be doing them in numerical order. Also, as this is my first successful attempt, it's not perfect. This is the most complicated Swordquest game to complete. The follow up, WaterWorld, is a lot simpler.
