We all have that little voice in our head that wants to keep us safe and locked in a comfort zone. The source of its power is rooted in three common forces. Knowing them and then developing a more powerful response to them can help someone just get 1% better today than yesterday.
Another key strategy we teach athletes, entertainers and public figures, basically anyone, including you, that needs to perform at their best, is to 'name the enemy.'
The moment your mind is dealing with something that is no longer in the shadows and is given form and shape. It removes a lot of the fear. Think about the movies that are the scariest. They typically have a villain or enemy that you don't know what it looks like or the scariest moment is when you can't see what is there.
Well the same thing goes for you and me...allowing that enemy in our heads to remain in the shadows, builds the fear. Bring it out, name it, visualize what it looks like, and you'll be able to shove it to the sidelines and get on the field to win your day.
