US rapper Snoop Dogg has been providing regular reports of the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 for host network NBC. This is the second time Snoop has worked the Olympic circuit, following his breakout role as an Olympic correspondent at the Tokyo Games.
CBS News states: 'He has certainly delivered. The 52-year-old rapper's droll commentary and one-of-a-kind Snoop-energy has set the internet ablaze, with videos of his Olympic cameos quickly going viral.'

Many people will have frowned when it was announced that the godfather of g-funk Snoop Dogg was included in the North Sea Jazz Festival program. However, during the concert of the hip-hop icon, who performs with a strong live band, many funk, R&B and soul influences will meet. The star of Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, shot up at the beginning of the nineties when he was introduced to the hip-hop world on Dr. Dre's album The Chronic. The sales of his debut Doggy Style benefited from his laconic, drawling rap style and his rough street image. He opted for a somewhat more light-footed, humoristic style when he discovered that the public was losing its taste for gangsta-rap. He also acts in movies. On his solo album Rhythm & Gangsta: The Masterpiece ('04) he collaborated with The Neptunes. At the end of last year the praised album Blue Carpet Treatment was released, featuring his discoverer Dr. Dre and Stevie Wonder.
