Unfortunately, Aymeria passed away a couple weeks after I got her. She didn't eat for a few days after I received her, which, I read is normal because shipping tends to stress them out. After a week, I grew concerned and started offering her different food items including grasshoppers (which they are notorious for loving) but she refused. She passed away the morning of her vet appointment. It has now come to my attention that the breeder I purchased her from was not reputable and that this has happened to others as well. I should have known better than to take their wors that a 3 week old monitor was established enough to ship. I am keeping this video up for two reasons:
First, even though I had her for a short time, I fell in love with that little lizard. I feel like she at least deserves to have her memory immortalized.
Secondly, I am all about being transparent with you guys. The reptile hobby is amazing but sometimes it's not all good. I promise to always show you guys the good and the bad.
