For World Fish Migration Day 2020 we want to show you on of the larger fish pass projects we have completed. Dunkenhalgh weir is on Hyndburn Brook in Lancashire but is a huge barrier to migration of fish, which need to swim up river to get to the best habitats to lay their eggs. As part of our Ribble Life Together project, we constructed a fish pass which allows fish to pass the weir using a number of stepped pools and continue along Hyndburn Brook.
