More than 2,000 immigrants with criminal records are now behind bars, according to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency’s announcement on Monday of the results of Operation Cross Check.
The agency targeted fugitive immigrants from 94 different countries who were associated with gangs or had criminal backgrounds.
