The Albanese government is already facing a fresh cost-of-living challenge with the national energy regulator approving an increase to power prices in three states from July 1. Sydneysiders will pay around $230 extra a year, Southeast Queenslanders will pay another $165 and those in Adelaide will have to fork out another $124 annually.
