This is part one of a four part series on deep cleaning and conservation of an Enfield No 1 Mk III* rifle. This rifle saw two world wars and then ended up in Ethiopia, and is filthy, greasy, and rusty. Follow along with me in this series (4 parts) as we disassemble, take care of the wood and metal, and reassemble and test fire this multi war veteran.
Sadly I "filmed" much of the disassembly with the camera turned off, but did catch the disassembly of the sear and disassembly of the bolt. I will have a step by step re-assembly video in part 4, so if you are looking for complete disassembly, see that video when it airs and just go backwards.
