On the 25th and 26th of February 2023, the Whitwell & Reepham Railway celebrated 14 years of operation of their small demonstration track which opened on the 28th February 2009, it is situated at the old Whitwell and Reepham railway station which was on the now dismantled Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway.
This gala also celebrated 1 year of operation of their home fleet 0-4-0st no.7681 'Agecroft No.3' which was their first home overhauled steam locomotive, throughout the Sunday of the gala it wore a headboard saying "Happy First Birthday Agecroft"!
The line is so small that the public operating train was consisting of a SECR Break Van with an industrial steam or diesel locomotive, there was also a small freight consist that ran twice a day with the SECR Break Van but was not a public service.
Also during the Sunday of the event, Lawrie from Lawrie's Mechanical Marvels was operating the LNER Wickham Trolley up and down the line, not public operational though.
