Balyo’s technology is infrastructure-free. It maps its surroundings using a Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system to map out walls, columns, racking, etc. It then compares in real time that reference map to any objects that it detects objects through its front curtain laser and side lasers. Currently, Eastern Lift Truck Co. offer three types of robotic forklifts: a tugger, end-rider pallet mover and a walkie-stacker that will lift 2,750 pounds to 12 feet.
