Bristlenose plecos are really cool fish especially for planted tanks. They're very peaceful and friendly to their tank mates. Only the males have the bristles and females are almost similar looking to common plecos. But they don't get bigger than 5 to 6 inches long. Male bristlenose plecos are very territorial so it's advised to keep a single male in a small planted aquarium. More can be kept but provide a lot of hiding spots for them. They'll lower algae growth and eat any uneaten food to keep the tank clean.
If you're lucky enough, they'll breed in their hiding spots and take care of the young ones by themselves. Just make sure there is no big predator in the aquarium.
