Some snow squalls moved through the Quad Cities during the predawn hours. Just enough that there could be a light dusting on car windshields. As the day wears on, our atmosphere will be drier, but cold and windy too. Temperatures will stay fairly steady around 8 degrees with wind chills around -15.
Wind Chill Advisories will continue tonight as we dip to -8 with a peak wind chill around -25. Frostbite will occur in less than 30 minutes if you're out without gloves, hats, and scarves. Be careful!
Thursday will be bright and sunny but still very cold. Highs around 8. We'll have two bursts of snow as we look closer to the weekend. The first comes on Friday with a dusting possible. Another system will bring a little light snow to our area on Saturday. This one could be just enough to shovel, but mainly fall south of the Quad Cities.
A warm up will be slow to materialize, but look for warming temperatures by late next week.
