SEM: Loading Samples

After you've prepared your sample by coating it appropriately, mount it into the SEM sample holder with the appropriate attachment like this.

It's necessary to move the sample so that its top surface is below the top surface of the sample holder. First, move the sample so that it is level with the top surface like this, and then using
the dial on the side of the sample holder, we move it down by six units so that the surface is an appropriate distance below the sample holders.
