San Francisco Corruption Charges
San Francisco District Attorney George Gascón today announced felony bribery and money-laundering charges against three former fundraisers for San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. Keith Jackson, Zula Jones and Nazly Mohajer were charged with soliciting and accepting $20,000 in bribes from an undercover FBI agent in exchange for promised political access. The charges stem from an investigation into Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow that also ensnared former state Sen. Leland Yee. KQED reporter Alex Emslie explains the charges.
