Karate World Challenge 2011, 1st round, 3rdfight:
Lukas Kubilius (LTH) vs Sandor Kovacs (HUN)

This match saw Lithuania's Lukas Kubilius take on Hungary's Sandor Kovacs in a repeat of this years' European championships over 90kg semi final. Sandor Kovacs is another of Hungary's bright young stars at 21 years of age having risen to fame placing in the top four at the Euorpean championships this year. Lukas, on the other hand is an experienced fighter who is just starting to make his name as one of the biggest threats to Japan holding on to the world championship this year. After winning the European Super-heavyweight title in 2006 in the absence of his rival Donatas Imbras, Kubilius has had to settle for being the bridesmaid to Imbras' continued success.
