A canning tip that is important. Wipe down the jars after you’ve canned them!
After canning, a nearly invisible residue is left on the jars and under the ring that you can’t see. However, when left in the pantry or cellar, it could grow into a moldy jar.
More often than not, the contents inside the jar are ok. The outside just looks revolting. You can wash and store again after seeing the mild but it’s a better feeling to just wasn’t hem before storing and it seeing any mold growth on your jars. Plus, people might lose their appetite if they see food being stored in a dirty looking jar.
