You wish to go to the United States of America and you are looking for immigration requirements? That is exactly what we are going to be covering in this video.
Whether you are looking to go to the US to become a student, or for any other purposes such as work, you will need to take an English language test in order to prove your English language proficiency. There are several tests that you can choose from. We recommend you take the TOEFL exam as it will be useful for both students and workers alike.
There are several ways for you to come to the US:
- You can either get an F1 Student Visa, which requires you to take an English language test, such as the TOEFL and present a letter of acceptance.
- A J1 Exchange Visitor Visa, which requires you to take a short study course and get a minimum of 79/120 on your TOEFL.
- Or a M1 Vocational/Non Academic Visa, which is suited for non-academic purposes or vocational studies, along with a language test, such as the TOEFL.
The choice of visa will obviously depend on your own situation and objective.
Do note that US citizens do NOT need to get a visa or take a TOEFL test.
