Speaker biography: Dr. Joshua S. Speagle is a Banting and Dunlap Postodoctrol Fellow at the Department of Statistical Sciences, David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics, and the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Speagle’s research focuses on using a combination of astronomy, statistics, and computer science to combine and analyze these large datasets to better understand the how galaxies like our own Milky Way form, behave, and evolve over time.
