Resume: Indonesia still has some issues that need to be resolved. One of them is the waste issue that continues to increase along with the increase in population. Data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2020 show that Indonesia produced at least 67,8 million tons of waste or 186 thousand tons every day. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an increase in the amount of plastic waste by 11.6 million tons. So, the total plastic waste in 2021 was 68.5 million tons. These data show the urgency of the waste issue in our country. However some of our society still think that garbage is a common thing. So, this video invites all Indonesian citizens to be aware of this waste issue and contribute to reducing waste production through simple actions, such as bringing a tote bag when shopping, always bringing refillable drinking bottles, and no longer using plastic straws.
