Every year in April masses of shorebirds pass though Hong Kong (Mai Po Nature Reserve) on their way to the northern breeding grounds. Many of them stay around for up to a month to feed up on the mudflats before the final push to Siberia. Some of the early arrivals are Curlew Sandpipers. There are a few of them shown in this video.
