As part of the Accelerate Seagrass program, Deloitte and Climate Impact Partners staff volunteered to collect high-quality seagrass seeds from a healthy meadow on the Isle of Wight, UK.

In collaboration with Climate Impact Partners, Project Seagrass, and the UK’s National Oceanography Centre, Deloitte is funding critical research to unlock large-scale financing for seagrass recovery in the UK, including mapping these ecosystems and developing scalable restoration methods.
What will happen to the seagrass seeds?
🌱 The seeds were taken to the Project Seagrass nursery in Wales, UK, which plays a crucial role in restoration efforts across the UK and is being supported by Deloitte.
🌿 They will be stored until planting takes place next year, used for research, or grown into plants that can be transplanted.
