Collection of clips and pictures from an attempt on LB's standard route in calendar winter. Backpacked to Lake Como on Thursday, March 16, and attempted the peak the following day.

The initial couloir took over an hour to ascend given the unconsolidated winter snow. The delays caused there put my partner and I in the infamous hourglass couloir around 930am when it received direct sunhit, and we chose to retreat a few hundred feet shy of the summit at that time so as to be back at lake Como by noon, before wet avalanches and deep mushy snow became a concern, especially in the hourglass.
