The first thing about cleft lip and cleft palate is that they create a state of shock for the parent as it is hard for them to accept that such a beautiful child has got such an ugly defect and it is heartbreaking for the family. So not treating a cleft lip and cleft palate or badly treating a cleft lip and cleft palate can have a lot of complications.
