If your base stops working, you might be on CHILD LOCK, which happens by accident if you sit or sleep on the remote.
Ease 3.0 has child lock feature
These instructions are for SEALY EASE adjustable bases purchased after Oct/Nov 2020. The back of the remote will have a white sticker with orange trim
If your remote isn't working, it is probably on Child Lock
1) Check to make sure the base is still plugged in
2) Push and hold down the 2 "DOWN" buttons (Head Down & Foot Down) for 6 seconds - the remote light blinks once, and then
3) Push and hold the 2 "UP" buttons (Head Up & Foot Up) for 6 seconds, wait for it to blink TWICE.
The remote should now unlock and your base should work!
Check to make sure you aren't on "child lock" before you try re-pairing or reprogramming a remote control. This is an EASY FIX to try to unlock. You will not be able to reprogram your remote if the base is on child lock (you won't get the flashing blue light). You may need to try to lock and unlock a couple of times
FYI - to lock the remote:
Push and hold the 2 "UP" buttons (Head Up & Foot Up) for 6 seconds, wait for it to blink TWICE.
It is easy to lock it, or for kids to play with the remote and accidentally lock it.
To reprogram the Ease 3.0 remote (purchased after Oct/Nov 2020 (white sticker with orange trim on the back of the remote):
1) Remove the cover from the remote control (you need access to it)
2) Unplug the Base from power and wait 5-6 seconds
3) Plug the base back into a working outlet (this starts sending a new signal out for pairing)
4) Push the white button on the back of the remote, it will start flashing blue. Keep holding it down until it stops flashing.
HOPE THIS HELPS!
