In the fake TRP scam, Mumbai CP has named various channels which have obtained revenue from rigged TRP. Republic TV, Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema have been accused in this scam. Rigging TRP is a crime, says Mumbai CP. An investigation is being carried out in this matter. 2 people have been arrested so far.

Boxes were fit in various houses to watch a special channel. Rs 400-500 was paid to each household to watch these channels. The Mumbai CP has raised serious allegations against these channels as well as the TRP. They have evidence against Republic TV. India Today has been named in the scam.
