Windows 3.1 was the operating system on our first PC at home. I remember it being a warm sunny afternoon after my siblings and I arrived home from school to see our very own PC that our parents had bought and being utterly blown away with its capabilities.
In the early 90's, the only computers we had seen were those floppy operated monochrome-screened systems at school. So being introduced to multimedia for the first time was nothing short of an absolutely amazing experience.
So after all these years, I'm reliving those precious memories by running a virtual Windows 3.11 system on Dosbox-X on a Windows 10 Host, and demonstrating some of the capabilities of the OS.
There are YouTube video tutorials available for those who are interested in installing and running Vintage operating systems on modern systems.
This video is a walk down memory lane and I do hope it evokes a sense of nostalgia for some of you out there.
