There were strange noises coming from the electric genoa furler on our Amel Super Maramu, so we decided to investigated. What started as quick inspection ended up with our forestay foil going overboard!

In this maintenance blog I remove the detach the forestay at the turnbuckle in order to remove the furling mechanism. In the next few videos I will be stripping down and completely rebuilding the electric furler gearbox and having the motor brought back to life from almost certain death!
