Today we’re going to have some fun with a few questionable and sometimes perplexing design practices.
Sometimes an interior design practice takes hold and, even though it makes no sense, you start to see it everywhere. Just like any idea, there are good ones and bad ones. And just because something is new and different, it doesn’t necessarily make it a good practice. Conversely, just because something caught on and has been done for a long time, doesn’t mean that it should continue to be done if it makes no sense.
We’re going to look at five of these practices (mistakes) and some ideas for what to do instead. This is all in good fun, of course. So if you like these practices, by all means, please continue and enjoy because at the end of the day designing and styling your space is about what makes you happy.
